From Spring Back into Winter

In addition to being chained to my computer the last couple of weeks, I have been getting a lot of cycling done. With dry trails and highs near 70, mountain biking was prime last week. Then a cold front rolled some snow in for skiing. It only about 10 degrees as I type this.

At one of the trailheads last week, I was talking with the ranger about trails and advocacy for trails. He was kind of enough to tell me about a rogue trail the rangers recently found and asked me for my opinion after riding.

I have to say it was one of the most sustainable fall line trails I have ever ridden. It was all on rock with great little ledges to drop off. Too bad each ledge was right after a tight turn. Or in the second photo, the trail is photo left of a great drop, but to get to it a rider would need to come to a complete stop to make the turn just uphill.
